How to join as a student?

Master’s Program

I welcome master’s students through the following two departments:

• Department of Complexity Science and Engineering
• Department of Computer Science

Please check the admission exam instructions posted on each department’s official website.

PhD Program

If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in my group, please send your CV and a brief research plan to:

Funding Information for PhD Students

Many PhD students in my group are supported through competitive fellowships and research support programs, for example:

• JSPS Research Fellowships for Young Scientists (DC1 / DC2)
• The University of Tokyo Fellowship (Todai Fellowship)
• RIKEN Junior Research Associate (JRA) Program

The specific form of support varies depending on the student’s background, timing, and eligibility. If you are considering applying to the PhD program and have concerns about financial support, early consultation is strongly encouraged.

How to join as a postdoc/researcher?

I host postdocs through the following fellowships/programs:

• JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan
• RIKEN Special Postdoctoral Researchers Program
